Care details

The State Street Maple has excellent adapability.  It tolerates heat, drought, salt, and pollution.  Also very cold hardy.  It is very tolerant of alkaline soils. Avoid planting in compacted soils. Water deeply and regularly during first few growing seasons to establish an extensive root system. Once established, reduce frequency. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring. Pruning time is in the winter.   Leaf description

Leaves are decidious five-lobed meduim to dark dreen that remain long into fall, then rapildy change into their golden-yellow foliage.
